Telemundo Network Group, LLC is
the fastest growing Spanish-language television network, reaching
90% of U.S. Hispanic households through 40 affiliates and
10 full power UHF stations throughout the United States and
Puerto Rico.
Business Challenge
Telemundo had four different non-integrated accounting systems
and an outdated reporting software package which prevented
real time access to financial management and efficient processing.
The company needed to upgrade its software to accelerate its
internal reporting, including purchase order processing, financial
forecasting, information management and billing.
Solution
To shorten month-end closings and eliminate report generation
inefficiencies, Telemundo decided to switch to a Microsoft
Great Plains eEnterprise Solution. Citrine Technologies completed
the implementation within 90 days. This involved data migration
and integration from multiple systems, as well as integration
from the company’s traffic system. Additionally, Citrine
Technologies developed a comprehensive financial reporting
package, which consolidated all financial information into
an easy to access resource.
After implementation, Citrine Technologies provided training
on the use of the software for remote locations and assisted
the company with business process changes. During this implementation,
all of Telemuno’s financial systems were centralized
in their Miami headquarters, and applications were accessed
via the Web using Citrix web-based technology. The result
was elimination of inefficiencies and complete access to their
business data.
